I. If You Keep My Covenant (19:1-8)

1. When did the Israelites come to the Desert of Sinai? (1) What had happened the last time Moses was at this mountain? (3:12) When did they leave Egypt? (12:2-3, 6, 12,17-18, 31) What can be learned about God?

2. Who are the house of Jacob and the house of Israel? (3-6) What does it mean to be carried on eagle's wings? What does it mean to be God's treasured possession, a kingdom of priests and a holy nation? How does this apply to followers of Jesus? (1 Peter 2:9-10, Eph. 5:3-7)

3. What did Moses do and what does it say about him? (7-8) What did the people promise? (Matt. 7:21-23; Rom. 10:5-13)

II. Consecrate Yourselves (19:9-15)

4. Why did the Lord come in a dense cloud? (9) Why did the people need to trust Moses? (Gal. 3:19-20) Who is our mediator? (Job 33:23-30; and 1 Tim. 2:5-7; Heb. 8:5-6)

III. Thunder, Lightning, a Cloud, and a Loud Trumpet (19:16-25)
