I. The Time of the Call (1:1-3)
1. Who is the prophet Jeremiah? When did he prophecy? Review God's plans, promises, and blessings for his people in Exodus 19:5-6 and Deuteronomy 6:5, 10-12. Why had they not maintained God's blessing? What did the Lord want his people to do? (Deuteronomy 4:29; Joshua 24:13-14)
II. I am Only a Child (1:4-12)
2. When was Jeremiah appointed to be a prophet? (4-5) How old was he when the Lord first called him to service? Did he want to accept his mission? What can we learn about the Lord's sovereignty in our lives? (Psalm 22:9-10, 139:13-16)
3. How did the Lord rebuke Jeremiah? What did he promise him? What does Jesus promise us in our mission? (Matthew 28:18-20)
