I. The End Has Come (6:1-7:27)

* Ezekiel 6 thru 11 are during the sixth year since Ezekiel was taken from Jerusalem. It is 591, ten years before the fall of Jerusalem.

The Lord God visited the prophet again in all the Lord's glory riding his amazing chariot. The Lord is not confined to the temple. In fact he announced that he is leaving the temple because of the continued terrible sins of idolatry and the leaders killing many people.

Ezekiel wanted to know if the Lord was going to destroy the remnant of Israel when a man died as he prophecied. The Lord said he would save a remnant and bring them back to Israel and they will serve him. The Lord was pruning his people of all the sinful rebellious people. Some would repent and be saved.

Jesus said he is the vine and his people are the branches. He prunes that which does not bear fruit. What in my heart, my mind, my soul, and my life that needs pruning? Something to meditate about today.
