1. Describe the scene in verse 1. Why do you think such a large crowd came to Jesus? What did Jesus do for them? (2)

2. What was Jesus' first parable? When the farmer scattered his seed, on what kinds of soil did the seed fall? (3-8) With what results? What does the seed represent?
